Great Color Palette: Homegrown
I have to make a statement and I don’t care who hears it: I love COLOURlovers. I know it is pretty well known in design circles, but if you don’t know the site, please check it out. It can be a great resource, especially if you are a designer. I love the fact that you can download color palettes in formats usable with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other design products…You can also create your own color palettes from photos that inspire you. It is definitely worth checking out.
From time to time, I will be sharing some palettes here that I find provoking. So, without further ado, a great palette I ran across the other day is Homegrown by Jazzie.
I really like the earthy feel to this palette. The dusty orange, the grassy green, the clear sky blue, and the earthy browns just evoke thoughts of working in the garden on Saturday morning when I was a kid. At the time, I didn’t like missing out on Saturday morning cartoons to work in a hot and itchy garden, but now I cherish those Saturday morning memories…But anyway, I digress.
I hope you enjoy this color palette, and can use it in an upcoming project!
