I know that the fabric covered bulletin boards have been around a while, but I thought I would remind everyone of what a great project it really is…There are so many options! So, here is my interpretation:

Step 1: Find an old cork board

Step 1: Find an old cork board

Step 1: I started with an old bulletin board that had definitely seen its better days.

Step 2: Take the board apart.

Step 2

Step 2: I took the frame off of the cork board.

Step 3: Batting

Step 3: Batting

Step 3: I cut batting to overlap the board by about an inch on all sides. Then I stapled the batting to the board.

Step 4: Fabric

Step 4: Fabric

Step 4: Cut the fabric of your choice about two inches larger than the board on all sides. Then staple to the board. I made it look at bit more finished by folding the fabric under and then stapling it to the board.

Step 5: Ribbon

Step 5: Ribbon

Step 5: Add coordinating ribbon in the pattern of your choice.

Step 6: Secure ribbon with upholstery tacks or another type of tack.

Step 7: I used ribbon to make loops at the top to hang the board…And here it is…The finished board.
