Terrific Tuesdays: A Wonderful Body Scrub to Give (or just for you!)
I love body scrubs and wonderful exfoliators that you can purchase in department stores…I think I have purchased them all at one time or another. I also love going to spas and getting facials, scrubs and all kinds of fun beauty treatments. The best body exfoliation that I ever got was at a resort in Jamaica. This wonderful Jamaican lady used an exfoliator that smelled so good, and left my skin as soft as a newborn. Why am I telling you all this? Because I asked her what she was using, and she told me! Since then, I have made a ton of it, and now I am going to share the recipe with you. It is perfect for gifts because it is easy to make, easy to use, and cheap! So, let’s get on with it…
Ingredients:
- 1 part cornmeal (it can be white or yellow – it is your preference)
- 1 part epsom salts
- 1 bottle of almond extract
- 1 large decorative bottle
Mix the equal parts of cornmeal and epsom salts together. Put them into the decorative bottle. Download the instructional tag I created (download it below), print it, and punch a hole in it. Then, attach it to the bottle with a bit of ribbon. Package your bottles in a lovely gift bag, and Voila! You have a wonderful body scrub to give this holiday season.
How simple was that? Does this sound like something you would use or give to a friend?

was just wondering if you should add oil base to this for packaging…or is it used dry…and can essential oils be added for scents?
Once you read the directions, you will see that with this scrub, water and almond extract are added before using. Hope this helps!
So cute and easy and a printable tag too. You’re great! Thanks for sharing.
