Terrific Tuesdays: Monogrammed Wreath – Part Deux

Hi Sweets! I am so glad that you are joining me for another Terrific Tuesdays post!

My Second Monogrammed Wreath Project

My Second Monogrammed Wreath Project

I think you all know by the previous monogram wreath post that I love monograms. Well I wanted to personalize my front door decorations once again for Christmas, but I wanted to do it in a different way. So, I took this craft project by Martha, and put my own spin on it. So, take a look at how I personalized a fresh wreath for Christmas.

Tools:

  • Jingle Bells
  • 20 Gague or heavier wire (if I was doing this project again, I would go with a heavier wire – maybe 18 gague)
  • Round Nose Pliers
  • Wire Snips
  • Ribbon
  • Fresh Evergreen Wreath

You may want to find a letter in a  font that you like for a guide…I just kind of winged it, but you might want a guide to help you along.

First I rolled one of the ends of my wire with my round nose pliers. I just put a little curlie-cue into it.

Next, I started stringing the jingle bells onto my wire until I got to the desired length for the left arm of my “R”. Then I finished the arm off with another curlie.

Then, I hooked another piece of wire to the top of the arm, and started stringing more bells until I finished the round part of the “R”.

I then twisted the wire around the middle of the first arm of the “R”, and then stringed the last of the bells on the bottom part of the second arm of the letter.

Lastly, I finished off the arm with another curlie-cue.

Then I just tied the “R” onto my wreath with a little ribbon, and presto! a fabulously simple monogrammed wreath. The bells give it a special little “jingle, jingle” when you open the door.

Let me know if you have any questions…I wrote this post in kind of a hurry, so I could have left out some vital info. I don’t think I did, but maybe.

Also, if you try this project, I would love to see your finished wreath.

Don’t miss next Tuesday’s Terrific post…Another fun Christmas download…

Terrific toodles to ya!
