Yummy Color Palette: Banana Split

Banana Split by Nic Star

I am kind of veering away from the holidays today with this very tasty treat of a color palette, Banana Split by Nic Star. I was looking for a color palette in the red family since I presented a green color palette last week, but Banana Split just struck me.

I am totally a sucker for butter yellow, so that is probably the reason I honed in on this palette. I was really intrigued by how the deep reddish browns in this palette gave it such depth. It is so cheerful starting on the left of the palette, but then it kind of flows into the dark side.

I could totally dig a bathroom with this color palette. What do you think about stripes painted in two of the yellow colors (maybe #1 & #3) and then trim it out in the reddish browns? Pretty dramatic, right? I think it would be uber fab…very glamorous!

So, what are your thoughts? Does this color palette float your banana boat?
