Terrific Tuesdays: Ribbon Mat
Hi guys! Hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday!
Today I am going to share with you a quick fix for a missing picture frame mat from an old Martha magazine. This is a great way to replace an old mat that doesn’t match your decor or is just plain ugly…
Gather the following tools:
ribbon
tape
scissors
picture frame
cardboard
picture
First take a piece of old cardboard (I actually just used the old mat) and fit it to your frame.
Tape your picture to the cardboard.

Cut your ribbon to fit on all four sides of your picture, then tape around the cardboard.
Put the picture frame back together…Voila! Easy and cute!
You can mix and match the ribbon to your decor…Your imagination is your only limitation.
Hope you can use this little project.
Toodles!

Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
What a great idea! I’ve been struggling with the matting on a set of note cards I’ve been trying to frame. I never even thought of ribbon-thanks tons! I’ll be linking.
Thanks Joan and Rachel! Ooo, framing note cards with a ribbon mat…I might have to try that!
I love this idea!! Thinks so much for posting this!!
You are so welcome, Nycia!
